The Satyr Lounge Kitchen: Nigerian Cuisine

I am the Hedonistic Satyr and welcome to the Satyr Lounge Kitchen. Every three months myself and ZenDen hold a cooking stream on Joystick.tv where we create fantastic dishes for our viewers, and the theme for September was Nigerian cuisine. Appetizer: Nigerian Chicken Pie

We start with Nigerian Chicken Pies as our appetizer. This hearty mixture of chicken and vegetables will be a great introduction to our dinner. Zen starts us off with chopping vegetables for the pies before placing them in a pan to sauté.

Satyr then takes over with preparing the dough. A chat member advised that we freeze the butter in order to make the pastries more flakey.

Once the dough has proofed Zen starts to roll the dough out and create the pastries. All five pastries are then placed in the oven to bake.

After 20 minutes the Chicken Pie pastries are completed! The appetizers came out buttery and savory.

The Complete Meal

After nine hours of cooking the meal is finally complete!

Wrapping Up

Myself and Zen agree that this is the best meal that we have made since doing the cooking streams. The unique mixtures of flavors and spices is what makes these dishes the best.
